British Airways stops flights to Abu Dhabi
British Airways stops Abu Dhabi Flights for Summer 2025
British Airways, a member of the Oneworld alliance, has announced changes to its summer 2025 schedule. According to the aviation portal Aero Routes, the airline has canceled all bookings for its London Heathrow – Abu Dhabi route. The service was originally planned as a daily flight operated by a Boeing 787-8.
In an official statement, British Airways cited ongoing issues with the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines, which power its Dreamliner fleet, as the reason for the cancellation. These technical challenges have caused disruptions in the past and continue to impact operations.
The cancellation highlights how technical problems can influence route planning and capacity strategies. British Airways is exploring alternatives to mitigate the impact on affected passengers.
